Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden?

From the man who brought you the disturbingly hilarious Super Size Me, comes another interesting informative candid look at the people involved in the hunt for Osama bin Laden. Don't be confused, Spurlock does not find Osama in this movie, and doesn't really uncover anything terribly new for those who have been paying attention for the last 5 years and have managed to sift through the bullshit. This is a portrait of the people who are being lumped in as dangerous, and terrorism supporters if not simply classified as all terrorists themselves. Spurlock journeys to many of the countries American's have been told to fear, and avoid including Egypt, Pakistan, and Afghanistan in an effort to determine just how much these people support or even like bin Laden.

Before starting his adventure, Morgan visits the classic doctor from his previous documentary informing him of his travel plans, only to then be given a large number of shots. If you remember the doctor from Super Size Me, then you'll enjoy him and his candor being back in action. Following this he enrolls himself in a class designed to prepare him for operating in a war zone. Including getting away from a grenade, hand to hand combat and then a little bit of Arabic.

Upon leaving for his trip, Morgan treats this like an actual hunt, as if he really and truly wants and thinks he can find Osama with a camera and a translator. Obviously he fails, but that's not to say he doesn't uncover a lot of hate and friendliness in the weirdest places. A scene with some Orthodox Jews was probably the most dangerous situation he had been in, as, for some reason, they had decided he was evil and needed to leave, and needed to do it now. Other than that there are a lot of funny moments with locals in a number of villages, many hating Osama, some supporting his idea but not his tactics, and others agreeing with what he has started. Saying that it was not the image you see on the news, other than in Saudi Arabia which is a very controlled country and frankly doesn't care to much what the world view of the country is. There are no screaming groups, people aren't being shot in the streets, and having lived and visited many of these countries, it was nice to see an accurate picture of these countries, even if it isn't pretty it isn't near as bad as people have been led to see.

Watch this documentary, it paints a very accurate picture of the area, he talks to a few interesting people including Osama's uncle, and friends and family of top leaders in Al Qaeda, there are a number of funny moments, and very little of the typical bullshit questions and answers that people refer to as interviews these days. He gets people, and surprisingly they hit back allowing some real candor and truth to be revealed, even if it is a small scale.

At least they're trying to find Bin Laden? Who wouldn't want that million dollar reward if he is found?
